Oak & Saddle Equine Programs

People working with horses participate in a wholesome activity and can develop many intangible benefits including, but not limited to:

Evaluative Skills
 

 

The Oak & Saddle Equestrian Program is designed to identify the elements of good horsemanship in ways that can be applied to other relationships in our everyday lives. Participants also experience a renewed appreciation for God's creatures and their fellow humans. We invite you to participate in one of our established activities or incorporate the equine experience into your own event.

 

Educational Programs include:

Summer Equestrian Camps

Horsemanship clinics specifically designed for:
Girl Scout               Boy Scout
Campfire                     4-H
and similar youth programs


We offer group trail rides or arena riding for our registered guests,

and led rides for young campers.

     

 

Stable Policies

Program is by reservation only, with 30-day advance confirmation, based on availability.

Trail riders must be 12 years of age or older, all others must be at least five years old.

Ankle length pants and smooth soled shoes with a 1/2 inch heel are required for riding.

Helmets are required for all riders and provided by Tall Oaks.

Some medical or physical conditions will limit participants' ability to ride.

Tall Oaks' staff will make final determination of rider eligibility.

Due to weather conditions, horse availability, or trail conditions, scheduled rides may be cancelled or postponed by management.
