GKC CYF Mid-Winter @ Tall Oaks
This event has been postponed! We will reschedule as soon as possible when it is safe!

We are so excited to invite your youth (9 - 12th graders) to our midwinter CYF camp at Tall Oaks. This camp is from January 7th at 6 pm to January 9th at 11 am. To stay up to date with all information @cyftalloaks on Instagram. Please spread the word and we look forward to seeing you there!

REGISTRATION: Registration will be held in the Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) on Friday night, January 7th beginning at 6:00pm. Please do not arrive before 6:00pm! At registration, medications (prescription and over-the-counter) will be turned in to a camp director, who will administer them throughout the weekend. Make sure to bring only the amount needed and in the original container. Please contact either Jenna Beck (913-948-4791) or Anna Godsey (816-665-0784) if you cannot arrive between 7:00 and 8:00pm so that arrangements can be made for your arrival. "If you have the registration confirmation email with QR code that was sent after you registered online, please bring a copy with you (printed or on a phone) - we can scan this code on your arrival and check-in will be MUCH faster!

CHECK-OUT: Camp ends after closing worship on Sunday, January 9th at 11:00 am. Campers will be dismissed from their cabins. A counselor will check driver's licenses and "check out" each camper on the check out card filled out at registration. If a camper needs to leave in the middle of the weekend or early please notify the directors before camp starts. Campers leaving early must check out through the directors, but will not be allowed to return.

CELL PHONES: Cell phones will be allowed in cabins only. We all want to remain in contact with friends and family. However, cell phones can be a major distraction from camp activities, including the wonderful opportunity to spend time with those at Midwinter. In an emergency, parents can reach the camp directors Jenna Beck (913-948-4791), Anna Godsey (816-665-0784) or if you can not get a hold of Jenna or Anna contact Rev. Shandra Yost-Soltani, Camp and Conference Coordinator (913-433-6672). Cell phones that are used outside of cabins without permission of the director, will be locked in the director's cabin for the rest of camp.

OTHER ELECTRONICS: MP3 players are allowed in cabins, with headphones, but please leave other electronics, including computers, and tablets at home. You probably know the rest of the drill. No fireworks, weapons, alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, or e-cigarettes. Snacks are fine, but they need to be in re-sealable containers so that we're not attracting bugs/critters.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: Masks must be worn at all times while indoors except when eating and sleeping. Bring extra masks for the weekend. If you have any symptoms or have been exposed please stay home to keep yourself and others safe.

SPIRIT DAYS: There are optional spirit days for Midwinter

Friday: Decade (60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90/2000)

Saturday: Movie Character (dress as your favorite movie character)

Sunday: Old person (dress like an old person)
