Director and RYC Adults

My name is Tristan, and I am honored to be in my third year as an adult mentor with the Regional Youth Cabinet. This year, I have the privilege of returning to my previous role as RYC Moderator and CYF Director. As a camper turned director, I am passionate about returning each year to ensure that every camper has the opportunity to be their authentic self in a safe and affirming environment.
Some of my fondest memories at camp include the first supper, where everyone is meeting new people and trying new things; watching campers and counselors push past their comfort zones during the square dance; and hearing the unique perspectives shared as campers choose their “hills” to plant their flags—whether it’s the debate over whether hot dogs are tacos, or the playful assertion that a baked potato isn’t a meal. Whether hot or cold, all takes are welcome!
